Jelastic, Inc., the first company to deliver Platform-as-Infrastructure, announced today at JavaOne San Francisco, Jelastic version 2.4 with support for Node.js. From its inception, Jelastic was architected as a polyglot platform. The Platform also supports Java, PHP, Ruby and Python and at the end of 2014, .NET support will be introduced.

This integration allows patients to import data they choose from the Health app into their onpatient personal health records and send it to their physician in an easy-to-digest snapshot.  

For years, Thomas Goetz had been a spirited armchair advocate of the use a digital technology and data to improve health care. In early 2013, just as he was leaving Wired, Mr. Goetz met Matt Mohebbi, a Google engineer who shared his interest in technology and health. Their conversations continued for months, and prompted an epiphany. 

Drchrono, a considerably smaller physician-targeted EHR company, brought in a modest $2.9 million last year, but saw three-year growth rates up more than 1,834%.

Fall is around the corner, which means a new version of OS X is almost here. That also means a new version of Parallels — the software that lets you run Windows on a Mac — is almost here, too, and this time there’s a big emphasis on speed.
